My how little has changed in the past 180 years

This is why economics has never managed to actually become a science.

My own work falls within this latter array of petty bourgeois deviationationists. But with the triumph of the industrial owning classes in 1830s Britain, the focus of political economy shifted from scientific investigation and a radical challenge to the power of the Old Regime, to an apology for the status quo.

    I've always figured part of the problem with economics is it does involve human behavior (because you have to account for it). And psychology is still a pretty young/unknown field.
